How to Set a Christmas Table in Your Yacht
We may err on being a bit too obvious, but is there anything more central to Christmas than the table itself? It is literally at the center of every Christmas celebration. Therefore, good table decoration and setting are critical to a memorable event for your guests. An exceptional Christmas table can turn an ordinary dinner into an unforgettable event in the memory of your guests.
The choice of tableware, a good centerpiece, and color coordination are a few elements to consider when organizing an exceptional Christmas table. Therefore, in this article, we give you several tips to make your table an event in itself.
The choice of tableware
When setting a Christmas table, there are several factors to consider, such as how formal the event will be and the colors of the tableware.
Regarding the degree of formality, you should consider the type of event you want to carry out. We know you want to offer luxury and comfort to your guests, so we think a formal setting may be the best option. Even so, adjustments and variations are always possible.
Concerning the color of the tableware, there are many things you can use to take inspiration. For example, you can use colors that you have used in your Christmas Tree decorations. If you are looking for a traditional style, forest greens and berry reds are your ideal choice. Still, we believe that metallic dinnerware is always a good choice, as it adds a sparkle that helps create a magical atmosphere for Christmas.
Don’t forget to adapt the tableware if there will be children among your guests. No one enjoys Christmas to the fullest like them!
Making the ideal centerpiece
As we mentioned in the previous blog post, it turns out that sustainably decorating your boat is perfectly possible, and a centerpiece is no different. First, place a white tablecloth as a base and choose a table runner to go along with the style you want for the table. Then, add elements that decorate the table along the same aesthetic lines. If you are looking for a centerpiece in a more traditional style, you can add flowers, pine cones, and pine branches. These elements will make your centerpiece both natural-looking and environmentally friendly, something we strive to be. To add warmth, use candles (far from flammable things!), both white and colored – they can even be the scented kind! Ginger and cinnamon are great for this time of year.
In addition to this, why not have a centerpiece that does not touch the table? Hold on. Let us explain ourselves: imagine having a centerpiece as spectacular as or more spectacular than the one on the table. How is it possible? Simple: by hanging it! A hanging wreath over the table can be an extra-special touch.
Small details make a big difference
Nothing helps a Christmas table be unique and special like little details do. Adding decorations for napkin rings that include each guest’s name can be a nice personalizing touch. Perhaps you can incorporate each guest’s name with a beautiful card personalized to each guest’s taste. Another appreciated detail is to add a small gift for each guest, such as chocolates or small Christmas candies. This tiny touch will delight everyone, big and small.
In conclusion, we encourage you to unleash all your creativity when setting a Christmas table on your yacht. We are sure that by combining our tips with your personal touch, your guests will remember this Christmas for the rest of their lives.
